Passport rules
Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months (90 days) after the day you arrive, according to UK and Canadian government advice and the Israeli Consulate in Marseille. Six months gives you a safe margin.
- British citizens: Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the day you arrive.
- Canadians: Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the day you arrive.
Airlines check this at check-in. If your passport is close to the limit, renew it first: see the 6-month passport rule explained.

Where official sources differ
- Passport validity: GOV.UK and the Government of Canada say at least 90 days after arrival, and the Israeli Consulate in Marseille says three months, no longer six. The Israeli Consulate in Toronto still says six months beyond your departure for Canadians. Six months is the safer choice.
