How to apply
- Go to the official site, israel-entry.piba.gov.il, run by Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority.
- Fill in the form with your passport details and pay NIS 25 by card.
- Apply at least 72 hours before your flight. A new passport, or a change of name, gender or citizenship, means a new ETA-IL.
Children
The Embassy of Israel in Washington says all eligible visitors of any age should apply, so children need their own ETA-IL.
If you’re only changing planes
The Embassy of Israel in Japan lists travelers who transit an Israeli airport without passing through border control as exempt. If you will pass through passport control, you need an ETA-IL.
